31日目

Today is Friday again. I can barely wait for weekend trip. My friends and I are going to visit Osaka, the biggest city in west Japan, second of the whole country after Tokyo. I am also excited because we will go to a hot spring on Sunday. Japan is famous for a variety of traditions still kept today, and hot spring is one of those tourist attractions.

However, my work reached bottleneck now. After I finished one task, I was dedicated into another one more difficult than before. My Japanese is still at beginner level. I could make basic sentences in Japanese, which were understandable for local Japanese but contained a few mistakes sometimes. In terms of company website, the content is totally public and should be perfectly presented to convey information to potential clients and stakeholders. After translation of brochure, flyers, company introduction, I started to translate manufacturing process of our company’s products.

I studied in business school and majored in risk management and insurance. All I learned is nothing to do with manufacturing. The textbooks were almost written in English, while my native language is Mandarin Chinese. Japanese began to involve in my life just three months before I came to japan. How could I deal with my job in a completely strange field in unfamiliar language?

After hours of struggle, I got some clue and made a little bit of progress. I hope I am able to break through as soon as possible after this weekend and contribute more to my lovely company.
