It was my first time seeing director in deep thought before customer. Even though I could not understand what they were talking about because I am still not good at Japanese, I tried to find clues from the documents which they were discussing. A lot of industrial jargon and diagrams are still strange to me. However, I noticed that the indicated days were revised to earlier ones. With the limited vocabulary I know, they seemed to discuss something about dates. Organizing the information I could get, I checked with director after the meeting whether the customer is asking for earlier delivery. The answer was the same as what I guessed.
On one hand, it was good because I was able to catch some Japanese words. On the other hand, the earlier delivery of products means heavier loading afterwards. In order to make it on time for customer’s interests, we must spare no efforts. It is a challenge as well as an opportunity for our company to run more efficiently.
