Day 30

Beginning from today, we have two new company employees starting work. They’re the same age as my little brother, but they definitely seem more mature.

I want to talk to them, ask what it feels like to commit to the life of an adult. Even if I don’t have a chance to ask them at work, I’m definitely going to talk to them at next week’s Welcome Party.

I wonder if this means I’m no longer “the new guy”…

On a different subject, the sakura cherry blossoms have achieved full bloom.

There are definitely more of them than I thought there would be.

While they certainly look beautiful framed against famous temples, mountains and the like, I prefer when they just pop up randomly.

When sakura have bloomed, they completely change the look of a place you’re used to seeing every day.

I doubt I’ll go to a sakura hanami (sitting in a public place, drinking and eating with friends while enjoying the flowers) though. I’m pretty satisfied seeing them from the car while working.
