４日目

 

４日のブログ記事が１日間遅くってすみません。昨日、書ける前突然上司について行き、四国へ出向きました。その冒険について書き出す前、４日の業務について書こうと思います。

 

一昨日、会社紹介の完全を近づきました。終わったら安心するけど、紹介を英語にする仕事をもらって良かったです。まさに会社の内容を分かるように、紹介を詳しく読むのが最高ですね。

 

同日に、客さんとの商談を見えました。それに社内であったらから、前回の感じと違いました。ナーバスの雰囲気がありませんでした。まだ２０％以内し か分からなかったが、紹介の翻訳で前回と比べてもっと分かるようになりました。例えば、特定な加工(溝等)は見積もりの値段に影響を与えます。

 

そして、大阪へ納品をしに行きました。道中、上司と英語を練習しました。会社でインターンシップし始めてしてから皆は限界で僕と日本語で話しています。代わりに、出来る限り同僚の英語を取り上げたいです。

 

恩といえば、大阪を帰り道にアイロンも買ってくれました。それから、私の生活準備が出来ました。クシャクシャシャツの不安の元がなくなりました。

3.　肉マン。超がっかりしました。日本に旅行したとき肉マンよく喜んで食べました。しかし、残念ながら今回食靠れしました。

2.　おにぎり。辛いらしかったけど、足りなかったです。まぁまぁですよ。

1.　カーレパン。上司のおすすめでした。　パンがフアフアで、温めたカレーの温度が的を当てました。

 

 

Day 4

 

Sorry about the blog article for Day 4 coming in a bit late. Yesterday before I had a chance to write it up I accompanied my senior to Ehime-ken in Shikoku and was out all day. Before I write about that adventure I’ll describe the day before last.

 

 

On the fourth day of my internship I very nearly reached completion of the company introduction’s translation. It`ll be a relief to finally finish, but I’m really glad I got given the task. Truly, I don’t think there’s a better way to get an understanding of a company’s operations than by reading their shoukai in detail.

 

 

On the same day, I was able to sit in on another client meeting. This time it was within our offices, so had a very different feeling to last week’s business fair. I still only understood about 20% of the proceedings but thanks to the company intro I’m able to understand a little more each time. For example, how particular processing decisions (ie. cutting grooves) will affect the quoted price.

 

 

Following the meeting I accompanied my senior to Osaka again. Along the way, we practiced some English. Since I’ve started this internship, everyone has been very patient with my terrible Japanese, so I’d like to return the favour and bring up my co-workers’ English skills as much as possible.

 

 

Speaking of favours, on the way back from Osaka I had an iron and ironing board bought for me. Now my lifestyle setup is pretty much complete. At the very least, my crumpled-shirt anxiety has disappeared.

3. Meat bun. Very disappointing. Last time I was travelling in Japan I enjoyed niku-man a lot. This time though it sat heavy in my stomach.

2. Rice ball. It was supposed to be spicy but wasn’t quite spicy enough. Just okay.

1. Curry bread. My senior’s recommendation. The bread was fluffy, and the curry inside was a perfect temperature and consistency.

 

 

 

5日目

 

昨朝、いきなり四国愛媛県へ行きました。10時間ぐらい車に乗りました！長すぎそうだけど、実は時間がなかなか早くかかりました。上司と色々な話をするからでした。さすが、外国語の最もいい勉強仕方の一つは長期間で喋ることですね。

 

面白い話だけじゃなくて、道中に展望もたくさんありました。世界最長の鉄道道路併用橋の瀬戸大橋を渡りました。嘘のような大きさの瀬戸大橋は 13.1kmで、上で車は走って、したで新幹線も走ります。大橋からの展望は素晴らしかったです。しかも、始終海、山、川、梅、都会的な景色等出してきま した。本当に感動しました。

 

 

Day 5

 

Yesterday morning, unexpectedly I had the opportunity to travel to Ehime-ken in Shikoku. By car, the whole trip was about 10 hours! It sounds really long, but the time actually passed quite quickly. I had a lot of interesting conversations with my senior – naturally there are few better ways to learn a foreign language than to spend an extended period of time trapped in a car chatting.

 

Not only were there a lot of great chats, but the journey presented some amazing views. We crossed the world’s longest two-tiered bridge system. Unbelievably big, the bridge runs to 13.1km, with 4 lanes of car-traffic along the top and 2 train lines on the bottom. From the bridge there were some spectacular views. In fact, there were awesome sights along the whole trip. Islands, mountains, rivers, plum trees, urban metropolises all popped up. All told, it was an awesome day.
