こんにちは！インターンシップし始めたポールです。

これから2ヶ月ブログを書くから、少しい自己紹介をしたいと思います。

 

出身はシドニーです。

その明るい街で僕は大学生でした。

経済と歴史を勉強しました。

大学で日本語を勉強していなかったので、日本食レストランでバイトをして、同僚は日本語を教えくれました。

 

昨日木村製作所でインターンシップ始まりました。

日本語下手だから入り口入る前超緊張したけど、皆優しくて安心しました。

 

木村製作所社長は皆に自己紹介された後で、工場の様々な部を案内見せてもらいました。木村製作所の業務内容は切削加工、研削加工、組み立て、コンピュータプログラム作成、生産管理、品質管理を含めています。全部の複雑な機械が圧倒的とメッチャクチャすごいでした。

 

偶然にー日は、同時に京都ビジネスフェアが開催されました。私は営業部でインターンシップするから、営長はそういう展示に連れていってもらいました。本当に素敵な経験でした！木村製作所はブースを準備して、潜在的な顧客に陳列しました。これを書いている時点で、そろそろフェアの2日に行きます。それで、次のブログ記事に感想についてもっと詳細に書きます。

Before I start, it`d probably help if I wrote a little bit about my background. I`m originally from Sydney、studying at the University of New South Wales. My degree is in Commerce. While I don`t study Japanese I did work part time at a Japanese restaurant in Sydney. While becoming increasingly dependent on sushi and katsudon, my coworkers were generous enough to teach me a couple of words in Japanese to help me in my internship.

 

At the time it was a stretch to imagine the life of a company employee half a world away, but it all became very real yesterday when I started. Naturally I was very nervous before I stepped through the front door, but I was quickly put at ease by everyone`s kindness and acceptance. After introducing myself, the company director showed me around the factory. Kimura maintains several key areas of work, including cutting, grinding, assembly, computer program planning, production control and quality control. All the complex machining was quite overwhelming and very, very cool.

 

Coincidentally, on the same day I started my internship, a Kyoto Business Fair was taking place. Being an intern with the Sales/Marketing division of Kimura, I accompanied the section chief to Kimura`s booth. Over the day I was able to view how the company engaged and communicated with prospective customers. At the time of writing I will be shortly be going to the fair`s second day, so will be able to give a bit more insight in my next blog article.
