(English) Islam : day 65

Hi everyone,

Last Saturday Masha and I had a day trip to Himeji and visited this amazing castle. It has 7 floors and is the finest surviving example of early 17th-century Japanese architecture, comprising 83 buildings with highly developed systems of defense and ingenious protection devices. It is a masterpiece of construction in wood, constructed on the top of a hill in order to have a strategic view on the entire city. Is combines elegance and functionality by the white plastered earthen walls and in the subtlety of the relationships between the building masses and the multiple roof layers.

The trip has been amazing it felt like we were walking through history and I’m so happy I had the chance to visit this amazing structure. We could even have a picture with some really cool samouraï!

This morning Kimura san said to my colleagues that my presentation is on the 11th of May and hopefully some of them will be able to come.

Mimura san offered me a huge package of delicious Italian chocolates filled with milk and cereals! I’m going to miss his kindness a lot.

Ruytaro, my Aiesec manager came today for a meeting with me and Kimura san, we discussed the details of my presentation and it made me realize that I don’t have so much time left. I feel a little bad about it, I am definitely going to miss everyone.

Have a good evening!
